In the past, gaming on Windows has had its fair share of ups and downs, from Games on Windows Live to the barebones Xbox app in Windows 10. There’s other features exclusive to Microsoft Windows 11 apart from the new Fluent Design refresh, Accessibility and the Microsoft Store. The design of it is simple enough, with a search bar at the top with instant results, alongside three categories to choose from on the sidebar to the left. Also, when you try to search for something, it launches the Search app, which is a bit jarring when it switches between this and the Start menu. It lacks the unification of the Windows 10 Start menu, when you would try to look for something and the results would appear in an instant.

It supports background blur, eye contact adjustments for meetings, and automatic framing — none of which are present on Windows 10. These AI-powered features are available through Microsoft Teams, though some of them may depend on the hardware you have in your computer. Windows 11 and Windows 10 share the same features, and it’s just the way that things look that is different. Starting with the Start Menu, in Windows 11, it is a bit more simplistic. You only see a static list of apps, followed by your most frequented documents on the bottom. That might sound familiar, but it is important to note that Windows 11 drops out support for Live Tiles.

Application and System Logs

Windows 10 Setup will appear to mark the beginning of the installation process. Before we go any further, you need to check if your computer can actually run Windows 11. You can do so by downloading the PC Download Here Health Check app from Microsoft’s site to see if your computer meets Windows 11’s system requirements. For enterprises and businesses, Windows 11 Pro offers a lot more features and this is the area where getting the Pro edition makes better sense.

It wasn’t groundbreaking, but it made key upgrades that kept the OS competitive and compatible with the latest hardware during times of rapid change. Up until that point, PC users could do some things in Windows, but still had to switch over to the DOS prompt to run many applications. Windows 3.0 was still based on DOS and you’d still have to switch over for some programs, especially to play most games, but it was a big step forward.

Are there any Windows 11 pre-installed computers available?

Windows 10 had a stack of great useful features in the taskbar right-click menu, all of which have just gone poof in Windows 11. Okay, you could argue the show/hide option are not the most useful feature. But I would argue the ‘Task Manager’ trumps all of that. It is definitively the most used option any user would have to use every time a window or the whole Windows freezes. Error messages during the upgrade process are often due to add-on hardware. Microsoft recommends checking to ensure that all third-party device drivers are up to date.

However, third party apps may have their appeal but when you are using multiple devices it’s good to have knowledge about the built-in methods available in them for taking screenshots. To take a screenshot on HP laptop, press the Print Screen or PrtSc key on the keyboard, which will capture the whole screen and save it to the clipboard on your laptop. Now you can paste the screenshot on an image editor like the Paint app or Photoshop.

If you run an old business application that requires IE, however, you can still run an Internet Explorer mode within the Microsoft Edge browser. The Timeline, however, is now relegated to the mists of times past. The main beef has been about its hardware requirements. Lesser complaints about interface changes amount to “someone moved my cheese,” but still stoke ire from longtime users. In many ways, Windows 11 works just as well as Windows 10. It runs all the same software, and it supports all the same peripheral hardware.
